Peter Fodera

Portrait of Peter Fodera

Peter Fodera is an artist and art conservator whose creative practice spans fifty years. His experiences in yoga and meditation, his eclectic love of music, and the 5Rhythms movement meditation practice enrich his work.

“From the moment I stepped into the 5Rhythms, I knew that I had been called home.”

Through this exhibition, Peter offers his artwork to the community as a fundraiser for St. Mark’s Church. Many of these works explore our relationship to our hearts.

Peter and Ariel Karass have held space for Friday Morning Waves at St. Mark’s since 2018, bringing people together through movement, meditation, and a shared connection to spirit.

November 6–7 · Friday & Saturday

A weekend of art
and community.

Gather at St. Mark’s Church to experience Peter’s collection in an intimate, shared setting. Some works were created for and gifted to members of the community; others are being shown publicly for the first time.

The weekend program brings together an artist talk, gallery tours, and 5Rhythms movement meditation. Peter invites visitors to slow down and encounter the artwork in their own time.

Ariel Karass

Portrait of Ariel Karass

Raised in Israel by an American father and an Israeli mother, Ariel moved to the United States in 2001, finding refuge and belonging in movement. A 5Rhythms practitioner for over 24 years and a teacher for ten, he studied with founder Gabrielle Roth.

His work invites people to explore the layers of their lives through the body in motion, opening space for truth, discovery, and connection.

Since 2018, Ariel and Peter’s Friday morning practice at St. Mark’s has welcomed people of all backgrounds. A portion of each class’s proceeds is donated to charity, and elders and children are welcomed as guests.

Rooted in inclusivity, generosity, and care for the church, the practice creates space for reflection and collective presence.
